Bianca Peralta
Bianca Peralta

Bianca Peralta is a fourth year student at Sonoma State University, majoring in Political Science and English. Her hope is to one day obtain a masters in public policy and continue her legal studies by going to law school.

Working at Women Empowering Women is a fantastic opportunity for Bianca and plans on using the information learned from this experience as a means to encourage female involvement in politics and figure out what problems women face and so she can make laws that protect them.

On a personal level, this opportunity has taught Bianca how to empower herself and the women in her life. Growing up as a first generation Mexican-American, she also strives to open the feminist movement to include all women. Besides loving the law, Bianca is a chocolate enthusiast and constantly quotes lines from the movie Legally Blonde. Keep an eye out for her blogs containing relatable content.

Leah Albaracin
Leah Albaracin

Hi, my name is Leah Albaracin and I am a third year Sociology major at Sonoma State University. In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, watching movies, and going on spontaneous adventures around Northern California. The reason I joined Women Empower Each Other is because I love what this organization stands for and does for all women.

I am involved in Greek life at SSU and went to an all girl’s high school, so being part of something that embodies women empowerment within one another is something I can fully relate to and hits close to home. I have in the past volunteered with making care packages for low income or single parent families, and volunteered at food banks and elderly home communities, so through this opportunity to work with WEEO, I am more than grateful and excited to be able to offer what I can to support and help other women who have gone and continue to go through abusive, difficult and negative situations within our community.

Kiara Jones
Kiara M. Jones

Hello my name is Kiara M. Jones. I’m currently entering into my senior year at Sonoma State University, graduating with a Women and Genders Studies degree. I joined Women Empower Each Other along with Natasha because I have the same deep passion for the Empowerment of Women causes as she does. My focus joining the team is to spread the word out about women empowerment.

One of the areas of my contribution is to use graphic designs along with marketing tools on social media platforms to further spread the empowerment to other women.
